RF Interference Threats
in UGV Operations
UGVs frequently rely on continuous GNSS reception while operating in electromagnetically complex and interference-prone ground environments.
Mission reliability depends on maintaining stable PNT in the presence of:
• Ground-based jammers and countermeasure systems
• Airborne interference from UAVs
• Nearby high-power RF emitters
• Onboard EMC and self-interference

Multiple Ground-Based RF Emitters
High-power RF emitters on the ground may introduce interference that degrades GNSS tracking and navigation accuracy for UGVs.

Airborne interference from UAVs
Nearby UAVs may create airborne interference that degrades GNSS reception, tracking stability, and positioning reliability for UGVs.

Onboard EMC and Self-Interference
Multiple onboard radios and electronic subsystems may create EMC and self-interference that affects GNSS performance.

High-Power Infrastructure Emissions
High-power terrestrial transmitters may elevate the RF noise floor and compromise GNSS tracking reliability in ground operating environments.

Adaptive Null-Steering Against Multi-Source Jamming
The 4-element CRPA array dynamically identifies jamming signals and creates “Deep Nulls” in their direction. Even with multiple or mirrored jammers, the antenna maintains a high-gain beam toward GNSS satellites, ensuring uninterrupted PNT (Position, Navigation, and Timing) in contested environments.
